Lucky guy. I watched it on the live stream. Amazing how quickly they go up... 6 minutes or so to tank drop, a few more minutes to orbit. It's truly insane. Hope I get to see a launch before they mothball the shuttle!
I should have noted that I'm 150 miles away from the launch site. For me to see it this clearly, it must be enormous if you are closer!
That is impressive. I would love to hear the roaring and see the launch in person. I live in Sweden so I don't really have a shot at that.
